Lessons

I offer fun and exciting lessons on saxophone, flute, and clarinet throughout the Bay Area. My goals are to help each student become proficient on their instrument, be able to creatively express themselves through different musical methods, and foster a love and appreciation for all types of music.

I accept students of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and cover a variety of topics depending on the student’s interests and needs. These topics include but are not limited to:

-General technique
-Sight-reading
-Music theory
-Learning songs that YOU like
-Improvisation
-Composition
-Arranging
-Music technology

Through working professionally with a variety of musical styles over the years, I can help you hone your skills in Jazz, Classical, Blues, Rock, and various styles of world music (Brazilian, African, Balkan, Klezmer, and more).

I teach out of the lovely store Lamorinda Music in Lafayette three days a week, have a private studio that you can come to in West Berkeley, or I can travel to your desired location for an additional fee.
